Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus User Review

Recently I purchased Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus via online shopping through Snapdeal. I decided to purchase this mobile because its attractive features like 16 MP Rear Camera, 8 MP Front Camera, 2 GB RAM, Octa-core 1.7 GHz processor, and 16 GB internal storage. I ordered it on Snapdeal cash on delivery, which arrived within six days. I bought it at the price of 15500 and deliveryman told me that it would be more cheaper if I paid via online payment. He told there is less discount for those people who choose cash on delivery.  One bad experience with Snapdeal was that when I tried return option it was not working for this delivery.  Below I am writing my review for Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus. I would like to start with positive things about this phone and then go for negative remarks.


Positive Remarks:
1. Look and Design is very good. It looks very beautiful.

2. HD Display is very good. You can see it from any angle and can operate it even in sunlight.

3. Processor and RAM performance are very good. You can run too many applications and can play heavier games. It do not hangs up. I had stored many health related applications and all run very well and fast.

4. 16 GB internal storage makes it very large. You can store many things.

 5. This phone has only few preloaded apps. I was looking for such phone, which has minimal preloaded apps so I can load my loved ones only.

6. While talking, the sound coming from caller sounds very clear and feels like original. You will feel that you are talking front to front.

7. This phone seems best smartphone in the range of 15000 to 18000 rupees beating its nearer competitor lower priced Moto G (1GB Ram and 8 GB Internal storage and no SD Card slot ) and higher priced Panasonic P81 (1GB Ram and 4 GB Internal storage).



Negative Remarks:
1. Upon receiving phone, I was bit disappointed because of its big size, which makes it hard to carry in upper pocket. It looks so big, delicate, slim, and beautiful to carry it in upper pocket of shirts. The other thing which disappointed me its plastic back cover which gives it a cheaper look though it opens very easily. The third thing, which disappointed me was that Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus does not support Hindi Fonts i.e. there are no preloaded Hindi Fonts.

2. Another thing which disappointed me was that there were only two types of keyboard layouts. There should be four types of keyboard layouts for fast writing. My old Nokia Asha 310 had this feature.

3. The other thing which I miss in this phone is that for inserting second sim I have open it from back while my old Nokia Asha 310 had side slot for 2nd sim, which makes it very easy to insert second sim.

4. Battery back is poor especially for game lovers and for battery backup I had purchased power bank. Power bank is a device, which you have to charge and from it you can charge your mobile when necessary.

5. Another thing, which disappointed me was music player, which is not good though I do not have time to listen music so it do not bother much.

6. Camera performance also disappoints me as pictures taken by camera are not the standard of so called 16MP camera. Pictures do not look best upon zooming. Below I am posting some pictures taken by Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus. 7. Lastely, it is very delicate handset. You should have it protected well from the first day and mobile case cover for Karbonn Titanium Octane Plus is not easily available. First get case cover of this mobile and then start using it. Touch screen is delicate and can break easily and replacing broken touch screen of Karbon Titanium Octane Plus is very costly because of LCD and Touch are fixed to each other and costs around 5000 in service center and one can get cheaply replaced in local market of big cities.
